Until early 2005 Helen Lewis was Director of the Centre for Design at RMIT University. She currently holds the position of Adjunct Professor with the Centre and continues to participate in SPA's research, training and consulting projects. Prior to joining RMIT, she spent 5 years at EcoRecycle Victoria managing the market development, organics and industry waste reduction programs.
Helen has been a judge for the Plastics Innovation Award (1999), the National Packaging Awards (2000 to 2003) and the Energy Smart Awards (2001). She is co-author of Design + Environment: A Global Guide to Designing Greener Goods (2001), and A Guide to EcoReDesign (1997). She recently completed her doctorate on packaging stewardship in Australia.
